Applied Economics is an essential text for students on undergraduate courses in economics, business and social science.
Brian Atkinson was formerly Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Central Lancashire and is now a full-time writer and part-time lecturer. He is former Chair of the Economics and Business Education Association. Very well known in the field, he has written several texts: Economics: A study guide (written to accompany Economics by Parkin, Powell and Matthews 1997), Economic Policy (with others, 1996) and Economics in the News (1995).
Franl< Livesey was formerly Professor of Economics at the University of Central Lancashire. He has written some very well-known texts: A Textbook of Core Economics (4th edition, 1995), Dictionary of Economics (1993), Economics: An introduction for students of business and marketing (2nd edition, 1990) and A Textbook of Economics (3rd edition, 1989).
