v^uST is a framework for scientific and technical cooperation of national research on a European level. The activities of COST appear as COST Actions. All COST member countries can propose a COST Action. They can all participate in an Action by signing the Action Memorandum of Understanding.
The Action COST 244bis "Biomedical Effects of Electromagnetic Fields" was carried out between 1996 and 2000 in response to the growing concerns about possible adverse health effects of electric, magnetic or electromagnetic fields. The general objectives of the Action were to create European cp-ordination for research in the area, to co-ordinate and promote national research activities at the European level and to stimulate multidisciplinary collaboration between experts in the fields of medicine, biology, electrical engineering, physics etc.
The main visible activity by which the Action fulfilled its goals was the organisation of workshops on the research topics. This book contains the COST... Tovább
