The Archaeological Institute of the Eötvös Loránd University with the publication of this volume is meeting an over sixty years old obligation of Hungarian Bronze Age research. The series Dissertatlones Pan-nonicae is restarted with the presentation of several thousand Bronze Age burial assemblages rescued at Dunaújváros, during the construction of one of the largest industrial sites of Hungary in the igsoies.
The volume is based on a PhD dissertation defended in 2001, that Itself rests on fifteen years of intensive and tireless research. As a result of the original 1600 graves, making up this ill-fated cemetery, grave goods of 918 burials could be identified, restored, and analysed. The study of the biritual cemetery, in use from the Early Bronze Age through the Late Bronze Age, invoked a detailed picture of the material culture, burial customs, and connections maintained between social groups living in the Middle Danube region.
