Cacti iiave a fascination for many people. This book is a guide to those who wish to start growing them as well as for cacti enthusiasts. Full information is given for the care and cultivation of cacti and other succulents, including special notes on watering, temperatures, propagation, most suitable situations in the home, and attention required for cactus bowls of mixed plants.
Rochford's house plants are internationally known. In their jo-acre compound in Hertfordshire they have been developing thousands of different species of cacti, which they distinctively call 'Flowers of the Desert'. Thomas Rochford, who is the co-author of this book, has been leading this development in cactus cultivation. His co-author Dr. Shewell-Cooper is well known for his many books on gardening.
