In each book an introduction presenting important current issues in the area under consideration is followed by examples and discussion of actualclassroom materials and techniques. GrammarDictation offers an innovátive approach tó the study of grammar in the language classroom-the dictogloss procedure. This procedure consists of the following stages: • Listening: a text is dictated at a speed which allows only key words to be noted. • Text reconstruction: students pool their resources to reconstruct their own version of the originál text. • Analysis: the correction process enables students to understand their errors and the language options available to them.
