Pierre Ivanoff was born in France in 1924. As an ethnographer he has devoted many years to the study of the Maya people and their ancient monuments. He was a member of the expedition which discovered and explored the source of the Orinoco River, and is credited with the discovery of Dos Pozos, in the forests of Petén, Guatemala. An authority in the field, he is author of several books and articles on the Maya. Vissza
