Florence is well known for its glorious palazzi, and the Florentine-style palazzo is different from any other in Italy. This extravagant book features thirty Florentine palazzi, illustrated in 450 specially commissioned colour photographs that reveal the secrets of these historic buildings. The history of the city comes to life through the remarkable art, architecture, furnishings, gardens, and estates of the Medici, Davizzi, Strozzi, Riccardi, and many other great families of Florence.
