PROCEEDINGS OF THE FIFTH CONFERENCE ON FLUID MACHINERY

These volumes contain the whole material of lectures delivered at the international conference held in Budapest in autumn of 1975. The authors of the studies, who came from 20 countries, are the foremost scientists in the field. Naturally, the results that have been achieved in our domestic research in*-stitutes also appear in the volumes. The themes of the studies are related to the results obtained in the field of fluid machinery as for example pumps, water turbines, hydro>^ dynamic power transmission, ventilator?, compressors and special purpose appliances. The range of subjects contained: 1. Flow of ideal and real fluids in machine and in systems corinected with them (the two- and three-diiqension theory of cascades, theoretical -characteristics, cavitation, noise, bound-ary-layer, problems of flow mechanism in hydrodynamics, transient phenomena, etc.). 2.
