Author, Press Director for the Archdiocese of Athens, M. Archon Hypomnematographos of the Patriarcate of Alexandria and M. Archon Hieromnemon of the Patriarcate of Jerusalem, John M. Hadjiphotis, was born in 1944 in Alexandria, Egypt, where he completed his schooling. He went on to study, philology in Athens and sociology of religion in Catania. He is a full associate of the Society of Byzantine Studies and the "Parnassos" Literary Society, a full member of the National Association of Greek Writers and the Greek Bibliographical Society, a member of the administration of the Cultural Organization, municipality of Athens, a member of the administration of the Dodecanesian Historic and Folklore Society, vice president to the Secretary of the "Acropolis Appeal", member of the Mediterranean Academy (Rome) and the Mediterranean Meeting (Catania), Chevalier O.S.C.M.
