In this final book, completed after Alan Watts's death by his friend and collaborator Al Chung-liang Huang, the author has lifted the academic veil which so often obscures Tao. Alan Watts liked to be known as a 'philosophical entertainer' and Tao: The Watercourse Way blends both of these elements.
Taoism, the way of man's cooperation with the course of the natural world, was first conceived and explained by Chinese mystical philosophers in the fourth and fifth centuries B.C.
