THE EARLY COPPER AGE TISZAPOLGlR CULTURE IN THE CARPATHIAN BASIN
The dawn of the Copper Age in the vast jolain of the Carpathian Basin is characterized by the Tiszapolgar Culture. The changes marking the beginning of a new era brought the Neohthic way of life to an end and started a period of peaceful integration in which raw material production, local metal crafts and trade could develop.
Abounding in illustrations, the book enhsts and analyses all the rehcs of this culture found in Hungary — most of them first pubhshed — and complements them with finds from the other regions of the Carpathian Basin. The author follows a new path in determining the chronology of the cultures on the basis of their dominance in the history of the individual regions. The examinations are extended into the Late Neolithic and also into the further history of the Copper Age.
