Already the standard method for obtaining high-sensitivity IR and NMR spectra, the Fourier transform is being increasingly applied in all branches of chemistry, especially in the area of chemical analysis. This new book, written by experts in the various fields to which this method is applied, provides an incisive introduction to the techniques of Fourier transform spectroscopy and other types of multiplex spectrometry. Descriptions of the use of computers with chemical instrumentation are included as well to further a better understanding of what transforms will do and how they are applied.
