michael weimer is a freelance photographer whose work has been published in books, brochures, periodicals and educational média. His fascination with Wisconsin's variety and charm has steadily increased over the years, making it his most visited and photographed state. He lives with his wife and son in Illinois, forty miles south of the Wisconsin bordér. clay schoenfeld has for 40 years been a leading interpreter of Wisconsin sights, sounds, and citizens. Born in a Wisconsin parsonage, educated in Wisconsin schools, much traveled along Wisconsin highways and byways, this journalist-educator is a prolific writer of national stature. Among his many works are five books, a dozen monographs, 10 years of weekly newspaper columns, and innumerable magaziné articles about varied aspects öf the history, geography, people, institutions, and wildlife of his native state. In professional life he is Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication, Affiliate Professor of Environmental Studies, and Emeritus Dean of Inter-College Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
